
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Bauchi State has apprehended two individuals for allegedly stealing 600 litres of diesel intended to power an MTN telecommunications mast in Sabon Kasuwa-Railway within the Bauchi Local Government Area.
The NSCDC spokesperson, ASC Saminu Yusuf, revealed this in a statement on Saturday, November 15, 2025. The suspects, identified as Abdulrahman Jibrin, 20, and Munarak Halilu, 31, admitted to stealing diesel from the site for the past year.
According to the statement, “On November 12, 2025, during a surveillance patrol in Sabon Kasuwa Railway, NSCDC officers arrested Abdulrahman Jibrin and Munarak Halilu for stealing diesel fuel used to operate the generator at the MTN mast in the area.”
Both suspects confessed during the initial investigation that they had been pilfering diesel from the same location over the past year. They will face charges in court once the investigation concludes.
