Woman arrested in court for allegedly orchestrating m8rder of her husband after suspected hitmen

A South African woman has been arrested for allegedly orchestrating the m8rder of her husband, Raymond Themba Mathebula.

 

 

 Mathebula, a teacher, was taken into custody during proceedings at Nkowankowa Magistrate’s Court on Friday, October 25, 2024. 

 

 

Raymond was discovered dead following an incident involving an unidentified burned body in a vehicle on June 15, 2024, at approximately 07:30 near Constantia Mphagani Bridge outside Giyani. 

 

 

Allegations surfaced that she orchestrated her spouse’s demise, as revealed by suspects apprehended in connection with the murder of Raymond, an educator at Laerskool Krematart, Giyani.

 

 

The wife is scheduled to appear in court for the first time on Monday, 28 October, 2024.

 

 

The Police in Letsitele, Mopani District, successfully apprehended the suspects after conducting an extensive manhunt in relation to the incident.

 

 

Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, Police spokesperson, said that responding officers found a burning sedan with an occupant in the driver’s seat at Constantia Mphagani Bridge.

 

 

Fire Fighters and Emergency Medical Services were swiftly summoned to the scene. 

 

Although Firefighters attempted to contain the blaze, the vehicle and occupant suffered severe burns. 

 

EMS personnel subsequently declared the victim deceased. 

 

The police are currently investigating the motive behind the incident.
