Troops kill four terrorists, capture one in Timbuktu Triangle

Military Operation Targets Boko Haram/ISWAP Fighters in Timbuktu Triangle
Troops from Operation Hadin Kai have eliminated four fighters affiliated with Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) during a recent military operation in the Timbuktu Triangle. The engagement took place on May 5 in the Multe area around 1:15 p.m., according to sources from the region.
The troops, part of Brigade Group I (25 Brigade Guards/19 Battalion), reported that they not only neutralized four terrorists but also captured one alive during the firefight.
In addition, security forces recovered a substantial amount of equipment from the militants, including three AK-47 rifles, 50 rounds of ammunition, five magazines, nine bicycles, and two motorcycles.
The operation extended to several suspected terrorist hideouts in Dusu, Multe, and Hawan Burum, reinforcing military control in these areas.
Authorities stated that all recovered items, along with the captured individual, have been transferred to Headquarters 25 Brigade for further processing.
