Yobe State Troops Neutralize Two Suspected Terrorists
Gujba, Yobe State — Troops from the 27 Task Force Brigade, with support from the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, have reported the neutralization of two suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists during an ambush operation in the Gujba Local Government Area.
A Special Situation Report from Headquarters Sector 2, Operation HADIN KAI, detailed the operation, which took place at approximately 4 p.m. on May 27. The operation was initiated based on credible intelligence regarding the movement of suspected terrorists near Kasaicia village, adjacent to the Damaturu–Buni Yadi road.
According to the report, the troops successfully engaged the suspects during the ambush, resulting in the death of the two insurgents. In the aftermath, troops recovered two AK-47 rifles and empty magazines from the scene.
The report noted that while the security situation in the area remains fluid, the morale and fighting efficiency of the troops continue to be high.
