LIVE: Greats amazed by ‘incredible go go gadget’ try

James Tedesco nearly had himself a hat-trick but it wasn’t to be as he fumbled the ball, allowing Maika Sivo to swoop in and get the Eels out of jail.

Moments later Joseph Suaalii also went for his third before spilling the ball over the line.

In the process, Tedesco was taken high as he and Sivo fell while trying to lay a tackle.

Tedesco was escorted from the field under the league’s concussion protocol for a head injury assessment.

“He doesn’t look well James Tedesco,” Matt Thompson said in commentary for Nine.

The Bunker subsequently classified the head injury as a category two.
