LIVE: ‘Stubborn’ Medvedev brushes off Djoker help

Djokovic is definitely feeling the effects after that last game.

This time Medvedev is the one to take a game to deuce, but “gifts” Djokovic the Ad with a sprayed backhand that should have won him the game with plenty of court to work with.

A Djoker double fault gets it back to deuce, before Medvedev finds the net as Djokovic came forward. The Serb is 9/10 in net points won in this match.

He blew up over a let call that had Medvedev stretching a massive wide serve.

“Djokovic not believing the accuracy of the machine,” Todd Woodbridge said.

And the Russian won the point to go up the Ad and earn a break point - his first of the match.

But against all the odds, Djokovic saved it after somehow making it to what looked to be a perfect Medvedev drop shot.

“Outrageous,” Woodbridge quipped.

The crowd seemed to be turning towards Medvedev, and he knew it. After winning that one he gestured to them.

Eventually, Djokovic holds.

“What a save from Novak.”

The last two games have taken nearly 20 minutes.

“He knows how important that was, the pressure goes right back on Medvedev,” Jelena Dokic said.
