Nigerian lawyer, Moe Odele has taken to X to tackle a news platform after it published the story of a woman named Debbie who received financial rewards from Nigerians for waking by 4.50am to cook for her husband

 

Debbie has been widely celebrated by Nigerians on social media and received several gifts from individuals and corporate bodies after she tweeted that she wakes up by 4.50am to cook her husband’s lunch.

 

Punch Newspaper ran a story on Debbie with the caption ‘’Naira Rain on woman who wakes up at 4.50am to cook for husband”

 

Reacting to the Newspaper publication, Moe who was the on the frontliners of the ENDSARS protest, argued that in a country where women are beaten and even killed over food, a lot of women’s lives are in danger due to the fact that the said woman is being rewarded by all and sundry because she made her husband’s meal.
