UNILORIN expels student for demanding ransom from parents of missing colleague

The management of the University of Ilorin in Kwara State has expelled a 100-level student, Olanrewaju AbdulKadir, for allegedly demanding ransom from the parents of his missing colleague.

 

Authorities announced the expulsion in the university’s weekly bulletin, signed by the director of Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun on Monday, June 3, 2024. 

 

The expelled student, with matriculation number 22/52HL004, is of the university’s Department of Information Technology and Faculty of  Communication and Information Sciences.

 

The university has also rusticated a 400-level student, Segun Michael Oyewole, for beating a fellow female student.

 

Oyewole, who was rusticated for one academic session is from the University’s Department of Counsellor Education, Faculty of Education.
