NSCDC arrests 85-yr-old man for allegedly defiling 4-yr-old girl in Nasarawa

Men of the Nigerian Security Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, have arrested an 85-year-old man identified as Ibrahim Haruna for allegedly r@ping a four-year-old girl in the Kongo community of Keffi local government council of the state.

The Corps Public Relations Officer Jerry Victor made this known at a press briefing in Lafia the state capital. Victor told newsmen that the elder sister of the victim raised the alarm when she discovered the little girl was walking with discomfort and blood dripping from her legs.

The NSCDC spokesperson added that the sister sought to know what was wrong with the little girl who then explained her ordeal at the hands of the elderly suspect. He further alleged that the suspect lured the little girl into his room when there was nobody around which allowed him to perpetrate the act.

The NSCDC PRO added that a medical Test was conducted and it was confirmed that the little girl had been defiled.

Victor announced that the case would be handed over to the state ministry of justice after an investigation for speedy trial.

In an interview, 85-year-old Ibrahim Haruna denied the allegation and said it was a frame-up. Findings revealed that the parents of the four-year-old victim and the suspected elderly man were neighbours.
