Police arrest two men for s0domizing minors in Bauchi

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two men for s0domizing minors aged 10 and 11. 

Spokesperson of the command, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, said one of the suspects, Aminu Musa, 41, lured an 11-year-old boy with food and money in amounts of N300, N200, and N100, before sexually ass@ulting him. 

According to the PPRO, the other suspect, Adamu Abdullahi, 38, encountered a 10-year-old boy who was hawking, intimidated the victim and directed him to enter an uncompleted building where he forcefully had carnal knowledge of him. 

“On December 30, 2024, a complaint was filed at Tilden Fulani Divisional Police Headquarters against one Aminu Musa ‘m’, aged 41 years old, of the Sabon Garin Narabi, suspected of engaging in an unnatural sexual activity with an 11-year-old boy, Hassan (name withheld for privacy),” the statement read.

“The suspect allegedly lured the boy into his room, located adjacent to a shop where he worked as a shopkeeper and had canal knowledge with him on several occasions.

“Upon receiving the report, police officers from Tilden Fulani Divisional Police Headquarters were dispatched to the scene and arrested the suspect. 

“During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and revealed how he manipulated the victim. 

“According to the suspect, ‘He frequently brought food to the boy and, on several occasions, gave him money in amounts of N300, N200, and N100, respectively.” He added that he used these opportunities to exploit him, believing he was “reaping the benefits” of his actions.

“Similarly, in a related case, on December 31, 2024, a complaint was lodged at ‘B’ Divisional Police Headquarters, GRA Bauchi, that on December 28, 2024, at around 10:00 hours, one Adamu Abdullahi ‘m’, aged 38, a businessman dealing in metal scrap, also known as “Baban Bola,” encountered his 10-year-old child, one Garba (name withheld for privacy), while he was hawking. 

“The suspect intimidated the victim, directed him to enter an uncompleted building, and forcefully had carnal knowledge of him.

“Upon receiving the report, detectives from the Division were dispatched to the scene and immediately arrested the suspect, who confessed to the crime freely during interrogation.”
