African Athletics Championship: Ghana beat Nigeria to Gold In Men?s 4x100m Relay

Nigeria’s 4×100 metres men’s relay team won silver in the final at the African Athletics Championship in Douala, Cameroon on Monday, June 24.

Nigeria’s Kanyinsola Ajayi, Usheoritse Itsekiri, Alaba Akintola and Godson Brume finished second behind Ghana who emerged winners in the relay final in a time of 38.46 seconds.

On the brighter side, the women’s 4×100 metres relay final, the quartet of Justina Eyakpobeyan, Tima Godbless, Olayinka Olajide and Tobi Amusan won the gold medal as they finished ahead of West African rivals Liberia and Ghana in 42.76 seconds.
