Ndume should put Nigeria first rather than seeking to divide and distract the government - Deputy House of Reps spokesperson

Hon. Philip Agbese, Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, has advised Senator Ali Ndume to adopt the principles of teamwork and collaboration following his removal as Majority Whip of the Senate.

Addressing journalists in Abuja on Thursday, July 18, Agbese remarked that Ndume’s removal was in line with standard parliamentary practices observed globally.

He called on Senator Ndume to prioritize the nation’s interests over individual pursuits, emphasizing the need for unity and focus within the government. Agbese said;

“Some persons don’t understand that the parliament and the executive are two parallel lines of necessity. Senator Ndume should take note of this and embrace the principles of teamwork and collaboration, rather than seeking to divide and distract the government from its laudable reforms.

“He should put Nigeria first, rather than seeking to divide and distract the government. Let us work together to address the challenges facing our country. We will not be distracted by individual interests or personal agendas.”
