'Almajiri boy' found d8ad on road in Minna

A young boy suspected to be an Almajiri was found d3ad on a road in Minna, Niger State on Friday morning, July 26, 2024. 

A Facebook user, Kabeer Ahmed, who posted a photo of the boy, called on Northern leaders to find lasting solutions to the Almajiri challenge.

“Innalillahi wainailahin rajiun. I just passed by the body of this young boy around 9am this morning who appears to be under the category of teenagers & maybe almajiri, he was found d8ad maybe as a result to hunger or sickness in alagbado in Minna, Niger state and no one is yet to identify his body,” he wrote.

 

“I’m pleading to our northern leaders to look into this cases of almajiri and find a lasting solution to this actions because it’s hurts to see this teenagers walking on the streets under hash weather conditions, sometimes sick and in most times hungry and no one to cater for them. Children are precious gift from our creator and should be taken care of, times are hard even adults are struggling to make ends meet not to talk about kids.”
