Abuja Shoprite is closing down due to the current business climate

One year into the Great Tinubulation, business chains are shutting down, yet imbecilic daft supporters of the most inept government in the history of Africa can’t read the handwriting on the wall! Just last week, Diageo sold its 58.1% shares in GNPlc to Tolaram for $70m and exited the country after 75 years! A lot of other MNCs had exited prior to Diageo’s! I have a shop at Owerri Mall, owned Broll, a South African investor. What many people call ShopRite in Nigeria, the facility is owned by Broll, but ShopRite is the anchor tenant – other shops or business exist alongside with ShopRite. Just today, the Center Management brought a memo to me informing of electricity or what they call Utilities bill increase. From the memo NERC increased energy tariff of Band A customers which Broll fall into from 66.25 naira per kilowatt hour to about 225 naira!By this, my bill for just electricity (light bulbs and A/C) will hit over 1.6m monthly from about 550k! What am I selling to pay this bill? I pay staffs, pay my suppliers, pay rent in Dollars per Sqmeters, feed my family and run sundry expenses from my sales! How can I survive? Inside ShopRite grocery store in Owerri Mall, they stopped putting on the A/C to minimize energy utilization. They even out of stock on most consumer ables! Recall that the franchise owners from South Africa sold the company about two years ago and left Nigeria and it changed to Retail Supermarket of Nigeria RSN. They saw what would happen early enough! By this time next year, the entire country would have been totally kaput but Tinubu’s i unprecedented neptitude! Those that are standing on his mandate should continue, when leg begin pain dem, dem no go even find sit to sidon!
