Ibrahim Suleiman has gone on X, formerly Twitter, to start a conversation about sxual assault in the Nigerian movie industry. The actor wrote: “The day #MeToo Nollywood Edition will pop off here? Scenes.” However, Nigerians responded, telling Ibrahim that nothing will happen to those who are exposed for sxual harassment if victims in Nollywood speak out. The #MeToo movement is a social movement and awareness campaign against sxual abuse, sxual harassment and r@pe culture, in which women publicize their experiences of sxual abuse or sxual harassment. A number of Hollywood big names were implicated when the #MeToo wave swept the American entertainment industry.
