It’s the sort of texture that you just want to get stuck into – it’s really a joy to move it around your face because the texture is so soft and mobile and anything that encourages more facial massage is good. It’s an easy way to get the blood flowing around the face and combined with the scent of wild orange leaf (does that smell any different to other orange leaves? we may never know…) is truly a treat.

I mean, look – couldn’t you just dive in? It’s not at all stripping – after cleansing, it leaves skin with a softening film (so if you like your skin to feel squeaky clean, it’s not for you) that makes it feel flexible and hydrated. The formula is a blend of (mainly) sandalwood seed oil, grapeseed oil and bisabolol (soothing) – the colour comes from iron oxides and turmeric so may vary from pot to pot. You really can’t go wrong with this cleanser especially in winter months when skin needs a bit more in the way of hydration and soothing. The brand has some items on sale and I’d recommend you take a look as it’s quite generous and a good way to stock up on travel sizes. The Cleansing Balm is £34.95 HERE – you really do only need a tiny dot for a thorough cleanse.
