‘American Idol’ contestant Benjamin Glaze arrested on child p0rn0graphy charges

Benjamin Glaze, a former “American Idol” contestant who went viral after being kissed by Katy Perry during his audition, has been arrested for allegedly possessing child p0rn0graphy.

According to a Facebook post by the Tulsa Police Department’s Sexual Predator/Digital Evidence Recovery Unit, Glaze was taken into custody after authorities received information that he was in possession of child s3xual abuse material. A search warrant was executed, and officers reportedly found more than 700 images and videos of minors involved in s3xual abuse on his smartphone.

Glaze was arrested on Friday afternoon and booked into the Tulsa County Jail. He was charged with one count of aggravated possession of child p0rn0graphy and released later that night on a $50,000 bond.

Fans of “American Idol” may remember Glaze from season 16 when he revealed to judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie that he had never k!ssed a girl before. 

During his audition, Perry k!ssed him, sparking controversy online after Glaze admitted it made him uncomfortable. He later clarified that he did not feel s3xually ass@ulted by Perry.
