APC Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has announced former governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, as his running mate for the 2023 general election.
Tinubu made this known in an interactive session with journalists after paying a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State on Sunday, July 10.
Shettima, a staunch supporter of Tinubu, played a key role in his emergence as Presidential Candidate of the ruling party. Born on September 2, 1966, to the family of Sir Kashim Ibrahim, he is married to Nana Shettima, and they have three children: two females and a male.
He was governor of Borno State from 2011 to 2019.
