Arsenal set to sign Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad for £51m

  Arsenal are set to sign Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi this summer, with the deal virtually done. The defensive midfielder, 25, was part of Spains Euro 2024 winning side who edged past England in the final last July. Zubimendi was targeted by Liverpool last summer but opted to remain at the La Liga club instead of moving to Anfield. As The Daily Mail reported, the deal to bring the Spanish midfield maestro to North London is nearly finalised.  The report states that the Spaniard is in advanced talks over a switch, claiming a deal is virtually completed in the region of 51million owing to his release clause being triggered. Zubimendi has been in fine form for Real Sociedad over the past few seasons  The Spaniard has featured 22 times for his club this season across all competitions, scoring once.. The Gunners are likely to turn their attention to bolstering their attacking options with injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus.The post Arsenal set to sign Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad for 51m appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
