Aston Villa are thought to be interested in signing the Atletico Madrid defender Mario Hermoso.
According to Rudy Galetti, the Premier League side are prepared to offer a bid of around €30 million to the Spanish champions.

The 26-year-old was a key player for Atletico Madrid last season he helped them win the Spanish league.
The defender made 38 appearances for them across all competitions and he scored twice and picked up an assist as well.
Villa have an impressive defensive unit at their disposal but there is no doubt that Dean Smith could use some improvement.
Hermoso could prove to be a quality addition alongside Ezri Konsa.
The talented 23-year-old partnered Tyrone Mings at the heart of Villa’s defence last season and they did an impressive job throughout the season.
However, a club hoping to play European football in the future should look to improve on the likes of Mings. The Aston Villa ace has proven himself to be a reasonably good defender but he can be error-prone at times.
Hermoso has a contract until the summer of 2024 with the Spanish club and it remains to be seen whether Atletico Madrid are willing to accept Villa’s reported €30 million offer when it arrives.
The 26-year-old defender can operate as a left-back as well and his versatility will be an added bonus for Villa and Smith if the West Midlands club manage to pull off the transfer.
