Bandits abduct medical doctor in Zamfara

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have kidnapped Dr Abidemi Oyaromade, a consultant gynaecologist, with Federal Medical Central, FMC in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital. 

 

According to AIT, the bandits invaded Oyaromade residence on Monday, October 7 around 4am and whisked him away to an unknown destination. 

 

Oyaromade was the Head of Clinical Services (CMAC) at the Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau between 2016 and 2017, and he continued to work with the hospital until late 2023 when he left to join the Federal Medical Centre, Gusau.

 

 

The doctor has been praised for preventing maternal mortality in the state.
