KANKARA, Katsina State—A violent incident unfolded Wednesday night in Tudun Daluta, where bandits targeted the home of local businessman Suleiman Danjuma.
According to a post on social media platform X by Bakatsine, both Danjuma and his wife were abducted during the attack, leaving their family and community in a state of fear and distress.
The assault occurred despite a recent peace agreement established between community leaders and the bandits. This incident marks the third consecutive day that civilians have been kidnapped within the Kankara Local Government Area, raising concerns during the holy month of Ramadan, a period typically associated with reflection and compassion.
Local authorities have not yet issued a statement regarding the ongoing situation or any measures being taken to address the rise in abductions.
