Bauchi Police Arrest Two for Unrelated Crimes Involving Minors and Fraud

Bauchi police have apprehended a 48-year-old man, Bala Mato, for allegedly committing an unnatural offense against a 15-year-old boy in Burra, located in the Ningi Local Government Area. The incident was reported on February 25, 2026, by Danalami Umar, a resident of Bakin Kasuwa, who stated that the suspect allegedly lured the teenager into a room on February 17 at approximately 8 p.m.

According to a statement from police spokesman SP Nafiu Habib, the suspect has been taken into custody, and the victim was transported to the General Hospital in Burra for a medical examination.

In a separate investigation, Kamaluddeen Aliyu, a 24-year-old security guard with Al-Ansar Security Limited, has been arrested on charges of allegedly raping two minors, aged four and five. The incident was reported on February 23 at the ‘B’ Divisional Police Headquarters by the victims’ mother, who claimed that Aliyu lured the children into a security room at Tsohon Company, where he reportedly assaulted them on multiple occasions.

Both victims and the suspect underwent medical examinations at a police clinic. The Commissioner of Police has instructed that the case be forwarded to the Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Unit for further inquiry.

Additionally, police apprehended a suspect in a fraud and criminal intimidation case involving ₦3 million. Emmanuel Christopher, a resident of Dawaki District, Abuja, reported that two men, Aliyu Yahaya, 23, and an unidentified accomplice now at large, allegedly collected the money from him under false pretenses, claiming they could negotiate dollars, and threatened him with knives.

Detectives from Liman Katagum Division arrested Yahaya, while efforts continue to locate the fleeing suspect, recover the funds, and proceed with charges.

Commissioner of Police Sani-Omolori Aliyu reassured the community of the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, advising criminal elements to refrain from illegal actions.
