Boko Haram insurgents reportedly attack Borgu, kill 15


At least 15 civilians were killed during a coordinated attack by the Sadiku faction of Boko Haram on three villages in the Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.

The assault occurred late Saturday night, targeting the communities of Tashan Maje, Saduro, and Runtuwa, all situated within Malale Ward. Security analyst Bakatsine reported the incident via social media.

Local sources indicate that armed assailants entered the villages and opened fire on residents, resulting in widespread panic. Witnesses described the attackers as firing sporadically over an extended period to disperse villagers before making their retreat.

Multiple injuries were reported, and numerous residents fled to neighboring communities in search of safety.

As of the latest updates, authorities have not yet released an official statement regarding the attack.
