PORT HARCOURT, Nigeria — Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has dissolved the State Executive Council, a decision that takes immediate effect.
The announcement was made on Thursday, directing all commissioners and special advisers to transition responsibilities to either the permanent secretaries or the most senior officials within their respective ministries.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, Governor Fubara expressed appreciation for the contributions of the outgoing council members and extended his best wishes for their future endeavors.
