BREAKING: INEC announces timetable, schedule of 2027 elections
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially released the timetable for the 2027 general election.
During a press conference in Abuja on Friday, INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan addressed previous claims that the timetable had already been made public. He emphasized that the announcement aligns with the 1999 Constitution and the amended Electoral Act of 2022.
The presidential election is scheduled for February 20, 2027, while governorship, senatorial, and other elections will take place on March 6, 2027.
