Burna Boy asks his colleagues to stop living fake lives in 2025

Nigerian singer Burna Boy has taken to social media with a shady message for his colleagues and has told them to do better.

Taking to Instagram on December 30, 2024, he wrote, “If you ever lied about buying sujimoto’s house in Banana when you only rented it. Do better in 2025 If you ever lied about elele’s house being yours. Do better in 2025 If you have an aftermarket “rainbow Daytona”, please stop telling people it’s real. Do better in 2025 It should be a criminal offence to tell as many lies as certain men. The list can go on and on and on. (sent with new years effect.)”

After his post gained traction on social media, reactions followed and many social media users slammed him for throwing shade without calling the name of the person he was referring to.

An Instagram user wrote,“Even Akpi Dey mention names with full chest. ODG YOU TOO CAN DO BETTER”

“Burna seen ranting of not dropping album again in 2025 just because his two lead singles higher and fumble by fumble flopped so hard 😂😭🤣😂😂” said another user.

Other Instagram users accused the Big 7 singer of throwing shade at his colleague, Davido, asserting that the post was directed at him.

“Y’all need to stop using DAVIDO to gain attention,” an Instagram user warned.

Another wrote, “Guy drop your song and rest!!! You guys don’t need to chase clout with David’s name before dropping a project!!! @burnaboygram @wizkidayo it’s looking like obsession at this point!!! Do your thing and leave David the hell alone!!! Kilode gan gan???”
