CEO of Farm4Me, Adama J Adama is now the MD of Ooni of Ife

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Farm4Me Agriculture Limited, Adama J Adama, was recently handed a grand opportunity to expand his revolution in the agricultural sector following his recent appointment as the Managing Director of the Royal African Farm (RAF) Limited, owned by the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.

The Ooni of Ife has at various times and fora advocated for comprehensive strategies that will transform agriculture in Nigeria, and Africa in general, into a viable sector that will attract and engage youths.

His belief that agriculture is a wealth-creating avenue for vulnerable youths and women is one of the motivations behind the establishment of the Royal African Farm to, among other objectives, fight the monster of unemployment and poverty. To this end, he has identified Adama as a change agent who could bring about the attainment of these noble goals.

The appointment letter, signed by Dr Ayobami O. Oyedare, the CEO of Ooni of Ife Global Outreach (OIGO), states: “Your administrative, noble leadership roles and entrepreneurship experience are very vital to the strategic role of the Royal African Farm as its Managing Director.

You are uniquely positioned to contribute to the global ambition of His Imperial Majesty (H.I.M) Ooni of Ife as we continue to concentrate on our core strengths and values.”

For Adama, the appointment is the latest recognition coming his way and his high-value agribusiness companies having won the Royal African Young Leadership Award, 2021 Africa’s Leading Quality Farm Equipment Sales and Rental Service Provider of the Year and West Africa’s Best World-Class Digital Agricultural Investment Platform Brand in the past four months.

The appointment took effect from 1st July, 2021 and is subject to review after two years of operation.

In his new role, as spelt out in the appointment letter, Adama who will be working with the Ooni of Ife Global Outreach (OIGO), is expected to promote the overall vision of the Royal African Farm, “guide, promote, and implement the brand of The Royal African Farm and its products globally” with the aim of making agriculture attractive to the young generation.

Among his responsibilities, he is to negotiate potential partnerships and collaborations that will benefit the development of Royal African Farm and also help to build market enterprises for its product, among other goals.
