Chelsea’s Pedro Neto under investigation by UEFA

UEFA Opens Disciplinary Proceedings Against Chelsea’s Pedro Neto
The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has initiated disciplinary proceedings against Chelsea forward Pedro Neto following an incident in the Champions League Round of 16 first leg against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
During the match, which concluded with PSG leading 4-2, Neto attempted to quickly restart play with a throw-in. In the process, he pushed a ball boy who he believed was not returning the ball swiftly enough. Although the player immediately apologized for his actions, the referee chose not to issue a card during the match.
Despite the lack of an on-field infraction, UEFA has opted to review the incident. In a statement, the governing body confirmed the proceedings, stating, “Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against Chelsea player Pedro Lomba Neto for unsportsmanlike conduct.”
The outcome of this disciplinary review could have serious implications for Neto, who risks suspension and a potential absence from the return leg at Stamford Bridge next week.
