CJN to inaugurate 14 new judges for Federal High Court February 18

Chief Justice of Nigeria to Swear in 14 New Judges
ABUJA — Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, will preside over the swearing-in ceremony for 14 newly appointed judges of the Federal High Court on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. The event will take place in Courtroom Two of the Supreme Court.
The National Judicial Council recently recommended these judges to President Bola Tinubu for appointment. The new appointees include: Suleiman Amida Hassan, Muhammad Barau Saidu, Igboko Chinelo Conchita, Onuegbu Chioma Angela, Galumje Edingah, Ibrahim Vera Eneabo, Abubakar Musa, Usman Salihu, Aisha Yunusa, Ikpeme Joy Bassey, Shehu Umaru Adamu, Mohammed Ibrahim Buba, Eigege-Binjin Nendelmum Judith, Usoro Kuyik Uduak, and Nwoye Osinachi Donatus.
Dr. Festus Akande, Director of Information and Public Relations of the Court, issued a statement indicating that members of the judiciary, legal community, and media organizations are invited to attend the ceremony. The statement emphasized that attendees must adhere to dress codes and security protocols to gain entry into the courtroom.
“The Supreme Court of Nigeria appreciates the continued support and cooperation of all stakeholders in the justice sector as we work together to strengthen the administration of justice in our nation,” the statement added.
