CP visits Niger Police recruitment centre, hails transparency of exercise

Niger State Police Recruitment Screening Underway
MINNA, Niger State — Commissioner of Police Adamu Abdullahi Elleman expressed approval of the ongoing recruitment screening for the 2025/2026 class at the Police Secondary School in Minna. Elleman made his remarks during an inspection of the screening process on Tuesday.
Accompanying him were Maurice Bello Magaji, State Commissioner for Homeland Security, and Jibril Isah Bida, the Federal Commissioner representing Niger at the Federal Character Commission. The group toured various stages of the screening, guided by Deputy Commissioner of Police Isyaku Usman and Ahmed Gimba from the Police Service Commission.
Elleman praised the process for its professionalism and transparency, noting that it takes place in a conducive environment. Representatives from the Federal Character Commission, the State Government, and the Police Community Relations Committee attended the event to ensure fair recruitment for qualified Niger State indigenes.
He also commended the coordination between the Police Service Commission and the Police Force Headquarters, assuring participants of the State Command’s ongoing support. Elleman reiterated a firm stance against corruption, emphasizing that the exercise is free for all applicants.
