[Ad] There’s really nothing better than that sensation of contentment that comes from being cosy inside while the cold weather rages outside. Feeling warm inside is so good for the soul – sometimes it’s fleeting and other times you can eke it out. So, along with Very, who have a host of beautiful products to make those precious moments last as long as possible, I’ve put together some Very Cosy ideas. You can see I’ve opted for Elemis as a brand we know and love.

Very Cosy

A full immersion into the Frangipani Monoi range is as close as you can get to a holiday in your bathroom. Travel is still rather up in the air but oh, those sweetly tropical notes are so soothing and you can let your mind take you across the world to wherever you’d like to be. A key tip for a mind that won’t relax is to acknowledge your surroundings, so take in and voice what you see – taps, bubbles, soap, candle, toes for example (assuming you are in the bath!) to bring yourself back to stillness.

My ideal tropical treat is the Elemis Frangipani Salt Glow for smoothed skin and the scent of monoi and frangipani flowers drifting around me and the scrub action gets blood circulating as well as smoothing the skin. Post bath hydration with the lush Frangipani Monoi Oil or Body Lotion (leave them next to the radiator so they’re a perfect temperature) is next level self-care bliss. A mix of textural notes – scrubs, gels or butters – gives more focus to the experience.

As someone who practices yoga regularly but tried Pilates for the first time and still has sore legs nearly a week later, the Aching Muscle Super Soak is speaking to me! Exercise is so key to self-care – and yet in winter months, motivation is low. I’ve mentioned before my spotting robins technique to push me outdoors when I don’t feel like going for a walk – give yourself a reason to go out even if it is to see if you can spot a robin (or anything you like). But, whether you’re achy from planned exercise or just plain tired from your day, Elemis Aching Muscle Supersoak does the double trick of easing out those knots and waking up your senses so you’ve then got the focus to settle down with your favourite book or box set and make the most of your cosy time.

If what you need is stillness and peace, lock yourself away with Elemis Skin Nourishing Bath Milk. It’s very much a tried and trusted product for me but the Orangery Scented Candle HERE is new and it’s bliss. It starts to give fragrance straight away – there’s almost no time for it to ‘get going’ – with green citrus notes. It’s also a scene setter – a foamy, hot bath by the flickering of a candle gives all of the pointers to just chill.

Take your book, your podcast or your wine and sink in for the night. The two work well together because the sweet and milky scent of the Nourishing Bath Milk complements the sharper notes of Orangery. Have warm towels on hand and something extra comfy to slip into (those cloud-fluff Cosy slippers by the way, are HERE) and remember that all these cosy moments are deserved and build your resilience. The more you do, the better you are. It’s well worth heading over to see what Very has to offer HERE and if you want to go straight to the Elemis collection, head HERE.
