Dadiyata: NNPP asks Gov Yusuf to investigate El-Rufai’s allegation against Ganduje

NNPP Calls for Investigation into Disappearance of Abubakar Dadiyata

KANO, Nigeria — The Kano State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) is urging Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to initiate an investigation into the disappearance of social media commentator Abubakar Dadiyata. This call follows recent allegations made by former Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir El-Rufai.

Dadiyata was reportedly abducted from his home in Kaduna in 2019, and his current whereabouts remain unknown. During an interview with Arise News, El-Rufai asserted that Dadiyata’s critiques were primarily directed at the Kano State government under former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and not at his own administration in Kaduna.

“The abductor’s affiliation traces back to Kano,” El-Rufai said, emphasizing that previous investigations indicated the involvement of individuals from that state.

In response, NNPP’s Publicity Secretary Engr. Ibrahim Karaye issued a statement on Saturday calling for immediate action from Governor Yusuf. He emphasized that the ongoing situation should not be overlooked.

“The governor vowed during his campaign to address issues of injustice,” Karaye noted. He cautioned that delays in addressing the matter could suggest a prioritization of political interests over justice.
