Edo police boss arrest suspected drug addict who allegedly k!lled his son after going berserk while shouting ?Holy Ghost fire?

The police in Edo state have arrested a suspected drug addict, Theophilus Osazuwa, over the m#Rder of his four-year-old son, Testimony Osazuwa.

In a statement released on X, the spokesperson of the command, SP Moses Joel Yamu, said the suspect arrived  home at Ogbeson quarters off benin-Agbor road, on December 24, and shortly after went berserk before screaming ‘’Holy Host fire”

Yamu said the suspect then reached for his son and  slammed him on the wall.

‘’The child was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Preliminary investigation revealed that the young man who is known for the consumption of illicit (colos, ice etc) substances must have acted under the influence of same.”

Yamu added that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Umoru P. Ozigi, has warned the general public especially youths, against the dangers of consuming illicit substances and drugs that “may be detrimental to their health, endanger their lives and that of the people around them.”
