EFCC Declares Chinese National Wanted for Fraud
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a wanted notice for Peiyuan Niu, a 40-year-old Chinese national, in connection with an alleged fraud case.
The announcement was made on Tuesday via the commission’s official account on X. Niu is being sought for allegedly obtaining money by false pretenses.
According to the EFCC, Niu’s last known address is located at 111 Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Lagos State. A notice signed by EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale urges the public to provide any information that could assist in locating the suspect.
“The public is hereby notified that Peiyuan Niu, whose photograph appears above, is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretenses,” the notice stated.
The EFCC has requested that anyone knowing Niu’s whereabouts contact its offices throughout Nigeria, including in cities such as Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, or Abuja.
