Eminem’s adopted daughter Alaina Scott confirms her engagement to her long-term partner Matt Moeller

Alaina Marie Scott, the adopted daughter of rapper Eminem has confirmed her engagement to long-term partner, Matt Moeller after he proposed to her on Monday December 13. 

Alaina took to Instagram to share images of Matt on his kneel as he asked for her hand in marriage on the rooftop terrace at Detroit’s Monarch Club. 

The 28-year old also gave followers a look at her engagement ring, a single emerald-cut diamond enclosed in a solid gold band. 

Captioning the images, she wrote: ‘This moment. this life… yes a hundred times over. I LOVE YOU.’ 

Alaina is the biological daughter of Eminem’s former sister-in-law Dawn – ex-wife Kim’s twin – but was adopted by the rapper in 2002 after she succumbed to addiction.

After running away from home when they were teenagers, Dawn and Kim moved in with Eminem when he was just 15, and he kicked off his romance with Kim back in 1989.

He and Kim married for the first time in 1999 and divorced in 2001, before remarrying in 2006 for just four months.

Dawn later died of a heroin overdose at Detroit’s Motor City Trailer Park in January 2016, aged just 40. 

Four months before her death, Dawn revealed her struggle to beat her drug addiction, and told Radar that Eminem and Kim were giving her no help at all.

She said: ‘I have a millionaire brother-in-law and a sister with money up the a*s.’
