EPL: We were punished – Rosenior on why Chelsea drew 1-1 with Burnley

Chelsea Manager Criticizes Team After Draw Against Burnley
Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior expressed frustration following his team’s 1-1 draw against Burnley in a Premier League match at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Blues initially took the lead in the fourth minute with a goal from Joao Pedro. However, the team struggled to capitalize on their early advantage, allowing Burnley to equalize later in the match. Zian Flemming scored with a late header, leveling the game.
The match shifted dramatically in the 72nd minute when Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana received a second yellow card, leaving his team with 10 players.
“We should have killed the game,” Rosenior said in a post-match interview. He acknowledged the team’s strong start but noted they fell into a pattern of maintaining possession rather than pushing for further goals.
“You need to be ruthless in this league,” he added. “If you don’t defend set plays well, which we haven’t, then you get punished.”
The draw leaves Chelsea analyzing their performance as the season progresses.
