I’m writing this so fresh after having used the mask for the first time that I’ve only just put up the reel on Instagram where I add on Chanel Water Tint straight after because a big part of what I was testing for is how make up sits over it. I always try and mask in the mornings – I want the results all day, not all night when I’m asleep ;-). When I look at the ingredient list, there isn’t anything particularly remarkable about it – mineral oil (which I don’t mind), beeswax (not for vegans), sugar alcohol etc until we get to squalane, camellia extract and collagen. It feels as though the ingredients used are premium quality. There’s another ingredient – white mulberry root – which I don’t see used very often and it’s known for its soothing and antioxidant qualities.
Given how many hydrating properties the EviDens de Beaute The Cream Mask has, it’s remarkably lightweight on the skin – which means that despite the instructions saying to apply a thick layer, you really don’t need to – you can go with a moderate/thin amount (I hate to think of wasting a drop!) as it spreads across the complexion so well.
I’ve used a dot of Chanel Water Tint over the top but I’m pleased with this result – I don’t look quite so ‘winter haunted’ as I did before! Anyway, it’s expensive, I can’t make any bones about that, at £140 for 30ml (I’m treating my tiny pot like a Ming vase!) and the nearest like brand I could compare it to is Cle de Peau. It’s HERE.
