‘False and misleading’- Police dismisses reports of rumored planned attack on FCT University


The FCT Police Command has dismissed rumors of an alleged planned abduction at the University of Abuja Campus by unspecified individuals circulating on online platforms.

 

In a statement released, the FCT Police Command spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, described the news as baseless publications propagated by rumour mongers aiming to create unfounded panic and apprehension among FCT residents and University community.

 

‘’The Command hereby reiterates its commitment to securing and safeguarding the lives and property of residents in the FCT as adequate deployment of personnel and equipments have been implemented to enhance the security situation within the FCT, which includes the University of Abuja. The Command also urges members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the FCT Police Command’s emergency numbers: 08032003913, 08028940883, 08061581938, and 07057337653.
