Four Young Nigerian Celebrities That May Emerge President If They Contest For 2023 Elections

As the 2023 general elections draw near and with the numerous presidential candidates declaring their interest to run, we would be looking at some Nigerian celebrities who over the years have proven through their relentless dedication in the pursuit of a greater Nigeria may likely become president if they choose to contest.

These celebrities have continued to lend their collective voices to the pressing issues affecting the country through their massive following on social media.

Some of these celebrities joined young Nigerians to demand the dissolution of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a unit of the force that was responsible for many atrocities, including harassments, killings among others.

There are also vocal in the condemnation of dictatorship and hampering of human rights.

These celebrities with all their influence have pledged their support with other young Nigerians across the country to fight against oppression, hunger and bad governance.

Here’s a list of celebrities that may likely win if they contest.

Mr Macaroni

Popular comedian, Debo Adebayo, also known as Mr Macaroni, has showed laudable acts of patriotism despite the oppression he had encountered countlessly.

On February 2021, Mr Macaroni was arrested for protesting at the Lekki toll gate where he demanded that justice be served to the victims of the October 20, 2020, #EndSARS protest at the toll plaza. Despite the dehumanization he faced, the comedian joined protesters at the Gani Fawehinmi Park in the Ojota area, the venue of the June 12 protest in Lagos State.

He has also grown to be a strong voice and had created resistance against the present government in its inhumane treatment of the Nigerian people.

DJ Switch

Popular female disc jockey and heroine of the Lekki Tollgate shootings, DJ Switch may likely win the elections if she chooses to run. The 36-year-old defied all odds, after she participated in the EndSARS protest, releasing live footage from the massacre that happened at the Lekki Tollgate on the 20th of October, 2020.

The female Dj Switch, even in exile, has continued to challenge the government whilst speaking out for the persons whose life were lost during the Lekki Massacre.

Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin “Falz” Falana, through his music has been educating the masses as well as calling for societal reform.

Asides music, the singer most often hits the streets to protest against insecurity and poverty ravaging the country.

Falz noted that the Nigerian youths have been silent for a long time, adding that youths will not stop protesting until a better Nigeria is achieved.

The singer will surely be given a chance at governance if he decides to take up the mantle.
