Friday Treat: Uniqlo Bags | British Beauty Blogger

[purchase/affiliate] I know these bags have appeared before on Friday Treat day but I’ve just bought my third (yes, I know) and really, they’re my most used. They’re like little Tardises, holding far more than you could imagine. I love being freed from holding anything or having to put my bag down before I do anything – up to now I would say that my Chanel backpack was my very most worn bag but these little £14.90 bags have winkled themselves into my heart.

I noticed in store yesterday that there is a brand new Keith Haring collection – they’re not for me to be honest – but I bet it’s the start of a myriad of collaborations for these bags. Uniqlo partner with designers (Marni, Paul & Joe, JW Anderson, Marimekko and so on) regularly so I’m expecting that there will be some exciting developments in the future.

My most recent bag is the cream one HERE but your options are green, aqua, navy, black and beige – yellow and pink are out of stock. I keep a foldaway shopper in mine (nice one HERE for £5 from John Lewis) just in case. Currently in mine is : an umbrella, a foldaway shopper, three lipsticks, a hand sanitizer, my phone, a portable charger, a small tripod and a remote clicker for photographs. It’s also got a packet of paracetamol, my fingerless gloves and an eyeliner. I’m telling you – it’s capacious. It’s still not completely full either.

The Keith Haring options are also £14.90 HERE. These bags have been described as the new ‘it’ bag, not least because they bear a good resemblance to Prada’s nylon bag from the 90’s. Cos has already emulated its shape in leather (who knew that Cos stands for Community of Science… absolute learning for me!) HERE but only in brown and black, and Urban Outfitters have a remarkably similar shape in a variety of shades. I love this lilac one below.

Urban Outfitters

They’re £29.99 each HERE.

Honestly, I think it will be most copied bag ever – that ‘banana’ shape hugs so nicely to the body and the bag itself is wearable with anything. I foresee a multitude of iterations and am half praying that Chanel never makes one because I would be too torn.
