It’s sweet with rose, a little bit bit juicy with berry notes (red berries and blackberries) and there’s something uplifting there to round it off although I can’t quite say what. If your countryside ideal is cream wood with gauzy white curtains blowing in the breeze while puffs of cloud whisper past in the blue sky, this IS it! It really is the smell of that image – although for authenticity, please transfer yourself to France.
The fragrance took a little while to get going, but the drift was enough once it had to permeate the kitchen, the dining room (now my office) and the sitting room. It’s a well-being scent – a waft is undeniably pleasant leaving you with pleasing feelings of things being fresh and harmonious … a contentment perhaps. This is very much a Camille fragrance rather than an Annick creation, developed in 2018. It’s £49 which isn’t as expensive as I thought it would be although I did give myself a fright by accidentally landing on the Hong Kong site where it is $610 (HK dollars!). You can find it HERE, non-affiliate HERE.
