Governor David Umahi has ordered the re-arrest of Ohaukwu Local Government Chairman, Clement Odah and Assembly member representing Ohaukwu North Constituency, Chinedu Awoh for allegedly masterminding a crisis which has claimed lives.

The duo were arrested in January alongside other political appointees from the area but later released.

At a second meeting on the crisis which has lingered, Umahi ordered suspension of all political officer holders from the area who were absent and arrest of the duo.

The Governor who said the two leaders should not be allowed access to any phone or be treated with courtesy in detention, also ordered arrest of spokesperson of Effium community, Dr. James Agina and spokesperson of Ezza-Effium community, Mr. Titus Nworie.

He said;

“All the political office holders from Ezza-Effium who are not present should proceed on suspension without salaries.

“They should not be paid and if the March Salary has not been paid to them, it should be withheld as well.”
