Gunmen invade church in Delta, k!ll two policemen and abduct ex-commissioner

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have k!lled two policemen and abducted a former female commissioner, Ada Anioma Joan Onyemaechi, in a church in Asaba, the Delta State capital

The gunmen invaded The King Jesus and I Church, located off DBS Road on Tuesday evening, July 30, 2024, and opened fire on the two policemen providing security at the church premise, k!lling them instantly. 

According to the Nigerian Tribune, after k!lling the officers, the gunmen abducted the former Commissioner, who is a prominent member of the community

Sources told the publication that the family of the abducted politician has not been contacted as of the time of filing the report.

The publication also reported that operatives of the State Police Command are said to have launched a manhunt to track down the gunmen.
