Gunmen kidnap Anambra lawmaker

Gunmen have kidnapped a member representing Onitsha North Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Justice Azuka.

Azuka was abducted at about 9:20 pm on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Ugwunapampa Road, Onitsha while returning home.

The spokesman of the State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the incident said operational plans have been activated for the possible rescue and arrest of the kidnappers of the lawmaker.

“The Command is already working on some clues for possible rescue and arrest of the kidnappers,” Ikenga said.
