Gunmen kidnap top NDLEA officer and orderly in Delta

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a top officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in Ogwash-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.

It was gathered that the incident occurred around 8 pm on Thursday.

Sources who confirmed the incident on Saturday, disclosed that the NDLEA officer was abducted after he left the agency’s office located off Isah-Ogwashi-Uku road in the metropolis.

“Information available revealed that the officer was heading home at the close of work around 8:00 pm when the incident occurred,” a source said.

“The officer was taken unaware by the hoodlums who laid ambush for him as he headed home. The criminals who were heavily armed bailed the officer up alongside his orderly and carried them away

“We don’t know the circumstances leading to the kidnap, the abductors might have been privy to the departure time of their victim, and waited for him to run into them at their rendezvous.”

When contacted, the spokesperson for the state command of NDLEA, John Kennedy, did not deny or confirm the incident, saying he did not want to comment on the matter.
