He’s A ‘god’ Among Men – Harrysong Praises Davido

Nigerian singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist, Harrison Tare Okiri, better known by his stage name Harrysong has described Davido as a god.

Harrysong while reacting to the feat achieved by Davido after he asked fans and friends to donate money for his birthday, said the DMW boss has taken the game beyond the normal level.

It will be recalled that Naija News previously reported that Davido has got the social media space buzzing after getting over one hundred and sixty million naira for his birthday from people including friends, family members, and fans.

The singer had posted on his Instagram story, requesting ₦1m each from friends, fans, and family members for his birthday. What started as probably a joke, spread like wildfire with many people scrambling to join the trend.

Davido had written: “We rise by lifting others abi? Me I don dey rise dey lifting others for the past 100 years. So, I want to know who my friends are. All of my friends one one million Naira. They said we are 30BG. If you don’t send your own. You out of here. You are gone (sic).”

After the social media post, people started donating to his account. Some gave the ₦1m requested, others gave much more while the amount donated by some well-known figures in the society such as Femi Otedola, Obi Cubana, E-Money were not revealed.

Brands also joined in the donation while kid comedians, Ikorodu Bois, chipped in with ₦5000.

Reacting to the amazing feat, Harrysong wrote: “Davido is the biggest and most powerful influencer in Africa. Both on the internet and on the ground. He’s a god amongst men.”

Meanwhile, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe has submitted that President Muhammadu Buhari will get several billions of naira if he decides to go online to seek assistance.

Igbokwe, who is the Special Adviser on drainage and water resources to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu made the submission in a Facebook post on Thursday.
