Republicans who signed on to the Texas lawsuit knew that it was going to fail, however Trump actually thought that he was going to win.

Kaitlin Collins of CNN tweeted:

Republicans have enraged their constituents by signing on to the lawsuit that they knew was a joke. They’ve probably jeopardized their seats as calls are growing for the House to vote not to seat them. They did all of it to feed Donald Trump’s delusions.

Trump by no means had an opportunity of successful the Texas lawsuit. States can’t beneath the structure inform different states the right way to run their elections. States have the ability to find out how their elections are performed. Trump can’t ask for votes to be thrown out as a result of he’s upset that he misplaced.

That isn’t how the constitutional separation of powers works.

By enabling Trump’s delusions, Republicans are each jeopardizing themselves and democracy.

This time democracy gained.
