“I am a Muslim and I’m totally against Sharia Law in Yoruba land,” Engineer leads call for collective rejection in of religious court


A Muslim software engineer has led a call for Sharia Law to be rejected in the South West. 

This comes after a flier announcing the inauguration of a Sharia Court in Oyo State sparked controversy.

Abiodun took to X to urge everyone, irrespective of their religious beliefs, to oppose Sharia Law in Yoruba land. 
 

He tweeted: “I’m a Muslim & I’m TOTALLY against a Sharia law in Yoruba land. 

“All hands should be on deck to ensure that no sharia law is passed anywhere in the Southwest. 

“It should be collectively rejected. I’m an advocate against sharia laws. 

He added: “Anywhere you hear them mention Sharia law, ensure you’re at the forefront of its rejection. 

“Reject it with EVERYTHING you have in you. This goes for Muslims, Christians & other religious beliefs. 

“Anyways, Abo Oro la n so fun omoluabi.” 

 

His tweet did not go down well with some Yoruba Muslims and they called him out for it.
