I attempted suicide twice, says Tiwa Savage

Award-winning singer Tiwa Savage mentioned she tried suicide twice as a child in London.

She spoke throughout her Black Field interview with media character, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Bounce Dwell Radio.

She attributed the suicide try and bullying as a black child in London.

Tiwa Savage revealed that she moved to London along with her mom on the age of 10 throughout which classmates mocked her robust Nigerian accent.

In keeping with her: “I used to be teased so unhealthy. They used to name me ‘African woman’, ‘Foo foo’, ‘Your meals smells’ and so forth.

“It was horrible. It was so unhealthy that I actually tried to kill myself two occasions. I used to be actually depressed.”
